West Cheshire Warriors named 2026 EMMNA Club of the Year

West Cheshire Warriors have been named the 2026 EMMNA Club of the Year, with the award presented during the League Awards at this year’s National Championships.

Since starting with just eight members in 2021, West Cheshire Warriors have grown into a thriving club with more than 100 members. They now provide men’s, mixed, women’s, social and Back to Netball opportunities, ensuring that people of different ages, backgrounds and playing experience can enjoy the game.

Their commitment to inclusion extends beyond their own teams. The club runs a separate weekly open training session, supports umpires through assessments and works with local clubs to create more opportunities for boys to play netball.

West Cheshire Warriors have also played an important role in delivering the North West RAF Air Cadets netball competition. The event has grown from 10 teams in 2024 to nearly 40 teams in 2026, with the club providing umpires, coaching and support with the organisation of the tournament.

Behind that growth is a clear and well-documented club structure, supported by strong governance, a committee, codes of conduct and a shared mission. The club also supports its members beyond the court through mentoring, qualifications, education, career development and childcare support.

West Cheshire Warriors have created a welcoming club that makes a genuine difference to its members and the wider community.
