Introducing your EMMNA Board Members
President & Chair
Ryan has represented England as the Head Coach of the England Mixed team at the 2019 Nets World Cup, and played at 2012 Nets World Cup for the England men's team. Ryan is a current Knights men's netball player and Head Coach for Knights 2nd and 3rd teams. As Founding Member of EMMNA, Ryan has ambitious goals and is determined to grow the sport he loves for everyone to enjoy.
Vice President & Vice Chair
Rowena represented England in the Mixed Nets World Cup in 2012, and the Ladies squad in 2015, and is an active part-time netball coach for Senior and Youth players at competitive club within a Superleague franchise. As the Co-Founder & Co-Head Coach of Aces Netball Club, Rowena is looking forward to assisting and supporting the growth of men's and mixed netball in the UK, taking this side of the game to the next level.
Charlene has been at New Cambell Netball Club for 10 years, captain of London and South East Regional netball team for 5 years, is a UKCC Level 2 Coach and a B award umpire. Charlene has been a senior leader in education for a decade, as well as Fundraising Secretary for New Cambell for 4 years, giving her the perfect experience to bring to the Secretary role at EMMNA.
STEPHEN GREGORY, SUPPORTED BY KATIE GREGORY
Stephen and Katie met playing mixed netball in 2016, and married the following year. Stephen is the captain of Knights 2, manager of Knights 3 and plays mixed netball twice a week in North London. Katie used to play club netball and started playing socially in ladies & mixed teams in 2014. Katie was the Treasurer of the IAA for the last 4 years, so brings a wealth of knowledge to this role.
Marketing & Communications Director
Caroline has played mixed netball since 2012, and represented England on the Mixed Nets World Cup in 2016. Caroline represented England Ladies in the 2014 Nets World Cup, and most recently captained the ladies in the 2019 World Cup in South Africa. Working in Marketing at a Premier League Football Club, Caroline's looking forward to using what she's learnt in football to grow the men's and mixed netball audience in the UK.
Jen has played mixed netball since 2012, and represented England in the Mixed Nets World Cups in 2014, 2016 & 2019, captaining the team last year.
She has always been hugely passionate about growing mixed & men’s netball in the UK, and this year will be running four Playnetball Summer tournaments, one of which will include the UK’s first ever all-male grade.
Lewis has played mixed netball and Nets since 2012, representing England at the 2016 Mixed Nets in New Zealand.
In 2018 Lewis co-founded Knights Men’s Netball and has been GM ever since. Netball has become a big part of Lewis’s life and the work he has done in progressing Knights from a group of mainly social mixed netballers to taking on international competition is clear testitment to his commitment and passion for the game. Lewis has already been instrumental in helping and encouraging new men’s clubs to start up across the country and is looking forward to continuing this role in an official capacity.
Sharron brings a wealth of experience to this role, as she's not only the current Head Coach of Crystal Palace Netball Club, but also Co-Head Coach of Aces Netball Club, specifically focused on youth development.
Sharron has worked with men's players before, with her most recent accolade being the Head Coach of the Mixed Nets World Cup 2019 squad. She also brings her experience from her role as VNSL club London Pulse's Hub Coach to EMMNA.
League & Tournament
Steve has been a passionate advocate for mixed netball since founding Playnetball.com in 2008.
Since then, he guesses he's been responsible for organising over 20,000 games of netball and countless tournaments in the UK and abroad. He still plays weekly with varying degrees of success and is looking forward to helping to grow the Mens and Mixed game in the UK through EMMNA.
Craig played his first mixed game in 1987 and spent the next 20-odd years playing competitively in Melbourne and then Sydney. This included men’s state league and representing NSW Reserves in the National Championships.In addition to playing, he spent eight years as either Treasurer or Secretary for Men’s Netball NSW, sending teams to various championships and helped host a nationals and trans-Tasman tournament.
After moving to London, he conceded that his playing days were behind him but continues his on-court involvement by umpiring with PlayNetball.
Social Media Manager
Abby is a Lead Sports Coach and PE coordinator at a Primary School in Bristol. She is a Level 2 Netball Coach and has 14 years of player experience. Abby has also played for netball franchise teams Severn Stars, Team Bath & Wasps, competing in both U19 and U21 categories.
In 2019 she played in the England U21 team at the Indoor Netball World Cup in South Africa where she gained 15 England Caps.
Culture, Leadership and Player Welfare Officer
Tez has represented England in the Ladies (2013 and 2015) and Mixed (2014) Nets squads. After successive years playing and subsequently coaching at club level (UKCC L2), she went on to establish Rosslyn Park Netball Club in South West London, where she holds the Director of Netball and Head Coach positions.
Tez also holds an MSc and BSc in Sports Psychology, and is committed to leveraging theoretical and practical experience to ensure player welfare, advocate positive team culture and encourage productive leadership.
TO BE APPOINTED
Responsible for managing and monitoring the development plan to ensure the EMMNA participation in all regions, by working closely with the Youth, Men’s and Mixed Netball Development Officers.
Identify and establish effective relationships with regional partners, who can assist in the delivery of EMMNA objectives.
